The first trimester is almost at a close with two more classes left. The Hoku Sr. Wednesday class just finished their third Project where they made a poster illustrating where their food comes from. Hoku Sr-1 made a fruit salad and introduced where the ingredients came from and Sr-2 made a pizza. They took different types of vehicles all over the map of the world to different countries collecting their ingredients.

After drawing pictures of their ingredients, they created a class story about going to each country and getting the different types of food to make their fruit salad or pizza. Their presentations are graded and will count to their overall score in their first trimester Report Cards.

ご案内しているSTEM教育アカデミーにつきまして、小学校の二学期が8月31日以前に始まるにあたって、
8月25日〜8月31日は16時〜18時30分のスケジュールで開講いたします。8月18日〜8月24日は変更ありません。

Star Festival

７月７日（木）のKEIKI INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLでは七夕をしました。七夕について学んだ後はみんなでプラネタリウムの星を見て楽しみました。また「きらきら星」をみんなで歌いました。

Holi Festival

6月27日（Mon）のGlobal DayはHoli Festival（ホーリー祭）でした。Holi Festivalはインド・ヒンドゥー教の春祭りで、みんなで色のついた粉や水をかけ合うのが特徴です。KEIKI INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLでは、インドの文化を学びインドダンスを踊ったり、Holi Festivalにちなんだ工作をしたり、水遊びをして楽しみました。

Color Soundation

Colorsoundation is a great introduction to music using colors, rhythm and fun instruments that the kids love playing. They improve their understanding of English and learn new words through the English only classes and story that unfolds as they learn each week.

Colorsoundation teaches absolute pitch, one of the best skills a musician can have, while giving many benefits the students can use outside of music including:
Over time they will become more confident in and out of the classroom, improve their gross and fine motor skills (coordination), increase memory skills, learn self-discipline and develop team skills.
